Why AP CM shifted his focus from Singapore to its adjacent Malaysian city?
Putrjaya, which literally means…Victor of the Price, is an administrative capital for Malaysia. Due to the huge congestion in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian government shifted its administration to this city, whose development started in early 90s. Major landmarks have been completed and the population is expected to grow in the near future.
The city was planned with 38% of the area reserved for green spaces by emphasizing the enhancement of natural landscape. It is one of Southeast Asia's largest projects with estimated final cost of US$ 8.1 billion. Only 10% of the materials were imported and Malaysian companies did the entire designing and construction.
