Hyderabad: A group of 200 volunteers took part in the training camp of Jana Seva Dal (People Service Corps) organised by the CPI City Committee at YMCA Narayanaguda on Sunday.

The party's national general secretary, Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, who witnessed the volunteers perform martial arts recalled how the Jana Seva Dal had supported the people at the time of calamities like floods and drought in the past.

He said apart from ensuring the party run its activities smoothly, it was the responsibility of the volun- teers to help the party men and people during the difficult times. He believed that the youth of party must remain fit, apart from developing political and ideological knowledge.

After hoisting the party's flag and inaugurating the training camp, the CPI national executive member Syed Azeez Pasha said that the Jana Seva Dal has the history of providing service during last forty years. He called upon the volunteers to help secure peace during the troubled times like communal clashes.

This camp was attended by party national executive member K Narayana, City secretary, D Sudhakar and leaders from student and youth wings of the CPI.
