As reported, there is no chance of considering it as a suspected pollution effect, since there are no industries within the proximity of this region. The local people wonder what has happened to the water while stating that they fish everyday and use the water for drinking purposes. The local officials have been inquiring whether there was a problem with the upfront of the river.

The eye witnesses in Xinmeizhou village, province, said that the river ran normally at 5am but suddenly started changing into a shade of crimson. Few local people filled clear plastic bottles with the liquid and reported it had an odd odor. One of the local residents said that the really weird thing was that they has always been able to catch fish and they could even drink the water because it's just normally so good.

It is suspected that a strange stuff might have been dumped. The concerned authorities are on job to tackle the situation.​
