Two make vain bid to rob ATM, The Tukaramgate police arrested two persons, John Kennedy, a resident of Sainagar and Benjamin of Mettuguda railway quarters on the charge of attempting to steal cash from an ATM near Rio Point Hotel in Sainagar area in the early hours of Friday.
Hyderabad: The Tukaramgate police arrested two persons, John Kennedy, a resident of Sainagar and Benjamin of Mettuguda railway quarters on the charge of attempting to steal cash from an ATM near Rio Point Hotel in Sainagar area in the early hours of Friday.
According to Tukaramgate inspector, T Laxminarayana, they received a call from the police control room in the morning stating robbers were attempting to steal cash from the ATM. A team immediately rushed to the location and nabbed them. Police grilled them and seized a hammer, a screw driver and a knife from them.
The culprits damaged the ATM machine partially. "John was involved in auto-rickshaw thefts and had been arrested in the past," the inspector said.
