The Telangana government, as a part of refurbishing all the existing infrastructure of the Police in Hyderabad and Cyberabad limits, has finalized the new vehicle designs. The team including Director General of Police, Anurag Sharma has put forward proposals to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with vehicle blueprints that could be procured by the police department.

Based on the reactions in the meeting, KCR is believed to have selected two models of patrol vehicles – one meant for law and order and the other for traffic and Highways. The law and order vehicle is blue with a police logo. The vehicles will have a GPS and tablet PCs apart from bar lights, siren and public address system.
Gopi Fakeera designed the law and order car and bike design while a company named Ibrand India has designed the other vehicle. The work was executed through the Administrative Staff College of India, a report said. The Telangana government proposed to procure 1,650 Innovas besides other vehicles at a cost of Rs 300 crore.
