Hyderabad: The chief secretaries of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Rajiv Sharma and I V R Krishna Rao met on Wednesday and endorsed the recommendations of Kamalnathan committee in toto on the distribution of employees.

Both Chief Secretaries affixed their signatures on the relevant documents which would be sent to Department of Personnel and Training of the Union Government.

This is an outcome of the recent meeting of Chief Ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao, who sorted out certain issues including the distribution of employees in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan.

The allotment of employees became a major contentious issue and Centre appointed a committee which was headed by former Chief Secretary C R Kamalnathan for framing guidelines.

Earlier the two Chief Secretaries and the officials discussed the objections raised by Telangana employee unions. The Telangana government had agreed to absorb in its service the employees working in seven Khammam mandals that had been transferred to Andhra Pradesh.

Though the Telangana government demanded amendments to clause 18 F of the guidelines, the committee did not agree to this and finally it was agreed by both State governments to leave the clause as it was and create supernumerary posts after the distribution of staff.
