While the Indian cricketers slumped to a humbling 3-1 Test series defeat in England, the only people BCCI has found to blame are Anushka Sharma for Virat Kohli's batting collapse, and other players' wives. Kohli scored 134 runs in 10 innings in the recently concluded England test series and looked totally out of sorts. While this is the worst series of his career, the Team India Manager Sunil Dev was perhaps not pleased with the fact that Kohli’s girlfriend, Anushka Sharma, was with him on the tour.
Manager of the Indian team for the Test matches said “I would have objected to her presence but was helpless when I realised that permission had been granted by the BCCI secretary, Sanjay Patel.” The Board usually does not take women in the rooms of players easily but Kohli had taken the permission from the Board. In case otherwise Anushka's presence might have become a scandal.
