Be it any city of our country, red light districts are often looked down upon in India; the children of sex workers, more so. One of the sharpest criticisms to India’s ‘culture’ is its hypocrisy. People want it behind closed doors, but no one accepts it in the open.

WTFIndia came out with a new video where they seeked the view of the children of sex workers as to whether prostitution be legalized. The video revolves around the life stories of those children, their haunted past, their acceptance in society and their aspirations. Sex workers themselves, in all probability, may not want to trade their flesh if not to fill their stomach and earn the basic wage for their family.

That puts to question our double standard views of Indians and in a very subtle way helps promote the idea of giving dignity to the labour and more importantly treating the children of sex workers as equals. With stories of struggle and hope and video brings out an important message.
