Actor Vishal, who has abstained from starring in a Telugu film for a while, has finally green-lit ‘one’. He would be joining forces with Sashikanth, former assistant to Sreenu Vaitla, soon. “It’s my parents’ dream that I do a Telugu film. We have already commenced the pre-production; the film will go on floors in December. It’s a family entertainer laced with action. It also has a lot a scope for me to perform,” says the actor.

At present, the actor is occupied with ‘Pooja’, his film with ‘Singham’ director Hari. Collaborating with the director after seven years, he says the film’s talkie portions have been wrapped up. “We’ve recently shot the climax at Golconda. We will head to a European location to shoot a couple of song shortly. It’s a film that starts in Pollachi and ends in Patna. A typical Hari entertainer, I play a micro financier in it,” he says.

The suave actor is planning to release the film on Diwali i.e. October 22 in both Tamil and Telugu. Quiz him if he’s not taking a risk as anticipated Tamil releases like Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ and Shankar’s ‘Ai’ are expected to hit the screens around the same time, he says, “I’m not aware of the competition. I’ve announced release date of ‘Poojai’ on the day it went to floors. I would stick to it. Some of the distributors are already blocking screens in Tamil Nadu. Let’s hope the best film wins.”
