Chandrababu Naidu Gets AP Capital Shock. Andhra Pradesh government was taken by shock with Sivaramakrishnan Committee report. The government’s decision to establish the capital in Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri range is strongly opposed in the committee’s proposal.
Andhra Pradesh government was taken by shock with Sivaramakrishnan Committee report. The government’s decision to establish the capital in Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri range is strongly opposed in the committee’s proposal. The report indicated that a total of ten thousand acres of land is needed for the construction of the capital while VGTM range covers 1458 acres of land.
In this context, according to the rising prices of land acquisition, there will be additional financial burden on the state and it would take minimum of 3-4 years to procure land in the VGTM range. According to the Committee the creation of capital in this range is not recommended with constraints on both economy and time.
