Nalgonda: G Mallayya, Assistant Engineer, Irrigation department, working in Miryalaguda, in Nalgonda district, was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000 from a contractor.
The AE had demanded and accepted the bribe in his office for doing an official favour. The ACB officials acted after the contractor approached them. They laid a trap and caught Mallayya receiving the bribe amount.
