Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu put off the announcement of AP Capital city in the Assembly on Tuesday.

According to sources, the reason not to announce the capital city is due to the lack of an auspicious time on Tuesday. However, political circles are abuzz with rumours that the absence of Opposition party Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the assembly too could be one of the reasons for Chandrababu postponing the decision.
YS Jagan is in Kadapa today to offer tributes to his father, the late chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who died in a plane crash five years ago at Nallamalla forest.
Meanwhile, speculation is rife that Chandrababu Naidu has almost decided to build the capital of residuary Andhra Pradesh in Vijayawada. As per the news, he would develop three mega cities and other small cities around the capital.
Looks like, the Cabinet has decided to give the Sivaramakrishnan committee report a royal ignore. The committee had recommended not to consider Vijayawada city for Capital city.
