London: The contribution of the unseen voice actress Monica van der Zyl, who gave her sexy voice to many Bond girls, has recently been highlighted ahead of the 50th anniversary of Goldfinger on September 17.

The 79-year-old was dubbed over 13 of James Bond's conquests in ten movies throughout the sixties and seventies, the Daily Express reported.The German actress also dubbed Goldfinger's Bonita, played by Nadja Regin, and Shirley Eaton's Jill Masterson. She also re-voiced Bond girls Eunice Gayson (Sylvia Trench in 1963's From Russia with Love), Claudine Auger (Domino Derval in 1965's Thunderball), Mie Hama (Kissy Suzuki in 1967's You Only Live Twice) and Francoise Therry (Chew Mee in 1974's The Man with the Golden Gun).

Graham Rye, editor of 007 magazine, said that van der Zyl was outstanding at it.When working on the set of the Bond movies van der Zyl was known as "One-take Nikki" and was respected for her professionalism and expertise.
