Rajahmundry: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy, here on Saturday, accused the TDP of spending huge amounts of money and distributing liquor in Nandigama constituency in which by-election was held. The TDP leadership was gripped by panic even before its government completed 100 days in office.
Speaking to the media here, Raghuveera Reddy criticised the TDP government of failing to keep its promises. He berated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his political speech at the Collectors’ meet. “No chief minister had in the past not even tried to politicise the district administration,” he pointed out.

The TDP activists were acting like “rowdies” with the active support of their party leader. The government was unleashing terror tactics to intimidate the Congress workers by getting the police to open “history-sheets” against them.
He did not see any difference between Naidu and Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He, however, said the Congress party would not destabilise the government.
The APCC president demanded that the Centre fulfil all the promises incorporated in the AP Reorganisation Act. The Centre, he said, should grant special category status and provide financial assistance to bridge revenue deficit.
