Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) retained the Medak Lok Sabha seat in the recently held by-elections. The seat was vacated by party president K Chandrasekhar Rao after he took over as the Chief Minister of the newly formed state Telangana.

After his party winning the Medak By-polls, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao thanked Telangana people for reposing faith in his outfit and said we have inherited many problems from the past and from the rule of Andhra leaders. We stand by our word and will fulfill every promise and attempt to give100 percent towards achieving Golden-Telangana.
During the speech, he promised to implement the promises made during the elections in last three months.
Further, he said the election has showed that there's no place for TDP party. And we have just started working; there is a lot of time to do much work that led the opposition parties not in a stage to compete with the TRS. Moreover, the opposition parties who were talking too much got a suitable response from the people. They should behave in a manner, which helps state evolve in a progressive manner.
We will start accomplishing the remaining work from Dussera and Diwali onwards and strive to do more for future development.
