Kotha Prabhakar Reddy is ultimate choice of Medak people

Kotha Prabhakar Reddy has grabbed the Medak seat with a splendid majority, as envisaged. Pointless to say that TRS was the blistering choice for the seat and there was so much of the demand for the party ticket. Eminent candidates like G Deviprasad Rao, chairman of the Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers Association (TNGO) and Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao who joined TRS just before the general elections and lost in Malkajgiri expected the TRS party ticket to contest the poll. But, the TRS party ultimately preferred Sony Travels owner K Prabhakar Reddy, rich elite with assets worth more than Rs 1,000cr.

It was obvious that the main fight was between the TRS and Congress Parties. TRS Party has a great hold over Medak Lok Sabha constituency. Also, it is the home district of many prominent leaders of the party including the party supremo KCR and Harish Rao, one of the top cadre leaders of the party. All these collectively gave an advantage to the party and made it easy for their sailing.

Though it was the first ever elections that Kotha Prabhakar has contested, he made it a splendid maiden entry into the politics. His victory from the Medak Lok Sabha constituency has not only given him the joy of triumph, but also a great responsibility as the people of the constituency have chosen him in place of KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
