Satyam case: Court asks all accused to appear on Oct 27
The special court handling accounting fraud case of erstwhile Satyam Computer Services Limited on Monday directed all the accused in the case, including the company’s founder B Ramalinga Raju, to appear before it on October 27.

Hyderabad: The special court handling accounting fraud case of erstwhile Satyam Computer Services Limited on Monday directed all the accused in the case, including the company’s founder B Ramalinga Raju, to appear before it on October 27.
The trial in the case, dubbed as the biggest corporate fraud in the country, was completed in June this year and final judgment is awaited. The special court, exclusively set up for case, examined 216 witnesses and 3,038 documents during the course of the hearing. CBI investigated into case and argued in the court that the scam caused a loss of Rs 14,000 crore to the the company’s shareholders, while defence lawyers countered the charges saying the accused were not responsible for such losses. Apart from Ramalinga Raju, there are nine other accused in the case. They include Raju’s brother and Satyam's former MD B Rama Raju, ex-CFO Vadlamani Srinivas, former PwC auditors Subramani Gopalakrishnan and T Srinivas, Raju's another brother B Suryanarayana Raju, former employees G Ramakrishna, D Venkatpathi Raju and Ch Srisailam, and Satyam's former internal chief auditor V S Prabhakar Gupta.
