TRS mulling to hold party plenary in the coming weeks

Exercise aimed at strengthening the party and constituting party committees

Hyderabad: Telangana State Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao is learnt to have decided to take stock of party activities besides constituting committees in 10 districts very soon. He is mulling to organise party plenary session, on a large scale, preferably at LB Stadium.

KCR, who has been busy with administration formalities since June 2, has recently completed 100 days in office. He has been preoccupied with official activities for the last three-and-half months so much so that he could barely convene party meetings in the meanwhile.

Except for some parts of Greater Hyderabad, TRS, in the last three months, successfully forayed into some areas where it was considered a non-entity previously. It is in this context, KCR decided to conduct a plenary meeting which would be attended by rank and file of the party from 10 districts. He is expected to give directions to district units and key leaders on job ahead to strengthen the party and make it a strong force in the next five years. However, the big question is how KCR would manage squeeze in two days for holding party plenary in the midst of tight schedule in the coming weeks.

Bathukamma festivities are set to kick-off in few days time which would be followed by Dussera festival.

Budget session of Telangana Assembly is likely to commence in early October which would be held for at least for two-four weeks. Further expansion of present cabinet is one issue KCR wants to address very soon.
