A person was attacked with sticks and axes by a rival group on Monday night in Srigadha village of Gambhirraopet mandal. Even those who tried to stop them group were not spared.
Sircilla (Karimnagar): A person was attacked with sticks and axes by a rival group on Monday night in Srigadha village of Gambhirraopet mandal. Even those who tried to stop them group were not spared.
Five persons who suffered serious injuries in the attack were admitted to a government hospital. The Sircilla CI and Gambhirraopet SI brought the situation under control.
The injured alleged that Congress leader P Hanmandlu was behind the attack. Sircilla DSP D Narsaiah said that police did not receive any complaint on the incident. The police would initiate stringent action once the complaint was lodged.
The groups were formed in the village after the sarpanch polls. Differences between them widened during the general elections.
On Monday, the groups lodged complaints against one another. The SI spoke with members of the groups and sent them away.
