Incheon: The 2014 Asian Games opening ceremony is set to kick off at 6 pm (local time) at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.

Lim Kwon-Taek, renowned for his popular films in South Korea, is in charge of the ceremonies while playwriter and actor Jang Jin is artistic director.
The 2014 Asian Games will officially start on Friday at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.  The Games will be a festival of dreams, highlighted by the joy of winning medals for all participating countries.
“Unlike the previous Asian Games and Olympics that focused on flaunting their national power, such as 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, 2012 London Olympics, and 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games won’t simply show off a scale but try to deliver a clear message, ’4.5 billion Asians’ dream, Asia as one,’” Jin said at the press conference announcing the theme and details of the ceremony.

Salute to Asia
The performance will include poet Go Eun’s recitation of “Asiad Song” along with soprano Jo Su-Mi and Incheon Metropolitan Citizens Choir’s song, and a story of four acts with the themes “Asia long time ago,” “Asia meeting through the sea,” “Asia as family and friends,” and to “Asia as one and future joining with on Thursday,” with Hallyu stars Chang Dong-Geon and Kim Soo-Hyun will lead the stories.

TELECAST SCHEDULE
New Delhi: To catch all the action from Incheon, you need to tune into TEN Sports TV network in India. The coverage starts with the Opening Ceremony on September 19 at 3.30 pm (IST), the TV network said on its website. The first day will see only the Opening Ceremony and the competitions begin the following day on September 20. The Live coverage starts at 5.30am ( IST). Asian Games will be telecast Live and exclusively on TEN Sports, TEN HD and also there is Live streaming on live.tensports.com.This will be the second big multi-sport event, after CWG, in recent times that TEN Sports will be broadcasting Live.
