In a review meeting held at the CM camp office here on Friday, Naidu has asked officials to weed out bogus and ineligible pensioners and make a list of pensioners for every village in the State. He asked officials to publish a pensioners’ list in every village in the order of priority. The priority list is one that is made after Aadhaar seeding has been done with respective individuals’ accounts. The Chief Minister ordered officials to ensure that pensioners from backward areas and those suffering from health issues be given a priority in rolling out pensions. Eligibility priority should be based on age and poverty levels. The government has decided that age will be a major factor for pension eligibility.
