Super Ranga featuring the realstar of Kannada film industry, Upendra hit theatres on Friday. The movie is a remake of the Telugu hit Kick which starred Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Illeana D Cruz in the lead roles.

The movie was remade in Hindi where Bollywood star Salman Khan reprised the role of the lead actor. According to trade pundits, the Kannada version of Kick has opened to mixed reviews. However, the initial collections on Day 1 is said to be around Rs 4.5 crores.
