Beijing: Eighty eight fugitives involved in corruption and other economic offences in China have been extradited or "persuaded" to return to the country amid an international anti-graft crackdown targeting suspects on the run, government said on Sunday.

Eleven of the fugitives have been at large for more than 10 years, the Ministry of Public Security said in statement. One of the fugitives surnamed Wang was on the run for 14 years, and had spend the time in Canada. He was accused of embezzlement of more than 60 million yuan (USD 10 million).

The ministry said another fugitive also surnamed Wang, believe to have swindled nearly 100 million yuan.
