As part of this initiative, a survey was undertaken jointly by the corporation officials and members of TMI group (a consultancy) in the GHMC limits to find out the number of vacancies in various private firms. It was found that there are 1,222 job openings in 46 different firms. These firms include the likes of Maruthi Suzuki showroom, Vodafone store, Karvy, Kalyan Jewellers, Tech Mahindra, Hetero Pharmacy, Carzone, Lot Mobiles and HDFC.

“Eligible youth can apply for jobs by registering their candidature at e-Vans, E-zones (employment zones) or apply online on www.yescenter.in. A three-day training would be given by TMI consultants to all the candidates who have applied on how to face the interview, personality development training, how to accustom themselves to the work culture, etc,” informed a senior official with GHMC.
