SCR to run 12 special trains during festive season
In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Dussera festival season, South Central Railway (SCR) will run two superfast special trains between Machilipatnam and Renigunta.
Hyderabad: In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Dussera festival season, South Central Railway (SCR) will run two superfast special trains between Machilipatnam and Renigunta.
Train No. 07402 Machilipatnam-Renigunta superfast special train will depart Machilipatnam at 9:15 am on 5th October (Sunday) and arrive Renigunta at 5:10 pm on the same day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07401 Renigunta-Machilipatnam superfast train will depart Renigunta at 7:10 pm on 5th October, (Sunday) and arrive Machilipatnam at 3:45 am on the next day.
En route, these special trains will stop at Pedana, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Kavali, Nellore and Gudur stations in both the directions. Four Jansadharan trains. Four Jansadharan Superfast special trains, two each between Lingampalli-Kakinada town and Secunderabad-Kakinada town during the Dushera season will also be run.
The Jansadharan Superfast Express trains are specially designed services to meet the needs of passengers who fail to get reserved accommodation in other trains and for those planning their journey in the last minute.
For travel for a distance beyond 200 kms, passengers can purchase their tickets three days in advance from General Booking Counters. Passengers can also use Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) available at stations in twin cities for getting their tickets. Meanwhile, six special trains will be run between Secunderabad-Vijayawada and Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam.
Train No. 07210 Secunderabad-Vijayawada special train will depart Secunderabad at 11:40 pm on 6th October, (Monday) and arrive Vijayawada at 6:50 am on the next day.
In the opposite direction, Train No. 07209 Vijayawada-Secunderabad special train will depart Vijayawada at 2:30 pm on 5th October (Sunday) and arrive Secunderabad at 9:40 pm on the same day.
En route, these special trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Nadikudi, Pidugurala, Sattenpalle, Guntur and Mangalagiri stations in both the directions.
