Sircilla (Karimnagar): Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar inaugurated a grievance cell here on Monday in the presence of Information Technology (IT) and Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao.

Addressing the gathering, KTR said people of the Sircilla Assembly constituency can register their complaints at the cell. “Once the complaint is accepted, an SMS would be sent to the complainant and the official concerned.” The minister assured to solve people’s complaint within 48 hours.

He said the cell would be available round the clock. Efforts were on to set up grievance cells in all mandal headquarters and village panchayats.

Later, he held a meeting on the town’s development. Vinod Kumar, Collector M Veera Brahmaiah, SP V Shiva Kumar, among others, attended.

Speaking to the media, Rao said the SP had prepared a comprehensive plan of Rs 75 lakh for making Sircilla ‘smart police town’ using latest technology to checl robberies, anti-social activities, family disputes and suicides.

He stated the ‘smart police town’ plan would be implemented in Sircilla after getting approval of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

For controlling the crime rate, electronic gates would be arranged at entry and exit points on roads of Sircilla town, the Minister said. Sixteen CC cameras were installed in the town. “A few more CC cameras would be set up soon.” He said a police counseling centre would be set up for controlling suicides in Sircilla.
