Four ATM cards, passbooks, cheque books issued by Odisha-based banks were seized from the arrested on Tuesday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jaideep Lakra said on Wednesday.
The arrested, identified as Salaudding and Md Imtiyaz residents of coal city, confessed that their syndicate was operating in five states including Odisha, Jharkhand, Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar.
Both were arrested during routine vehicle check and after recovery of four ATM cards from their possession, police took them in custody, Lakra said.
The police has sent a team to all four states for arresting syndicate members.
