Ace director SS Rajamouli’s new short film is making waves. The two-minute feature urges people to share the spirit of Diwali by donating to cyclone Hudhud victims

Scene 1: A young girl asks her grandfather money to buy new clothes for Diwali, the doting old man obliges and gives her Rs 5,000. The young girl pauses for a moment and returns Rs 4,000.

Scene 2: A young lad asks his father money to buy crackers. The father gives Rs 500 and the lad returns Rs 200.

Scene 3: An under-privileged kid lands before a fire crackers shop and the kind-hearted owner gives him two flower pots (crackers). The kid asks the price of each flower pot and the owner says each cost Rs 30. The kid returns a flower pot and asks the owner to donate the value of the flower pot to the AP CM relief fund for Cyclone Hudhud victims.

These are the scenes from the two-minute short film by ace director SS Rajamouli which has gone viral. This film has touched many a heart and citizens and netizens are lauding the efforts of the director, who took time out from his magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ for the noble cause.

The two-minute short film titled ‘Share the Spirit of Diwali — Vizag Needs You’ features character artiste Prithvi and other new faces. The film, which is doing the rounds on social media, urges people to donate to the CM’s Relief Fund.

The director says, “A small gesture can go a long way in reducing someone’s pain. Can we do something to lessen the pain of our brothers in Vizag? I’ve got this short video made to show what we can do for our brothers this Diwali.”

Rana Daggubati lent his voice for the film that was made to inspire and motivate people to come forward and help rebuild Vizag.
