Power crisis in TS: Cong lashes out at TDP, TRS
Telangana Congress senior leader T Jeevan Reddy criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his anti-Telangana stand and for stalling power supply to Telangana.

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress senior leader T Jeevan Reddy criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his anti-Telangana stand and for stalling power supply to Telangana.
Addressing the media at the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) office on Wednesday, he said the Andhra Pradesh government’s letter to the Krishna River Management Board seeking to stop power generation by Telangana Genco at Srisailam Project reflects the anti-Telangana stand of Chandrababu Naidu. He alleged that the AP Chief Minister was behind stalling power supply to Telangana from Krishnapatnam Power Plant in Nellore district. Jeevan Reddy said Telangana should get about 600 MW of power supply, from the power generation units of Andhra region as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
However, the TDP chief has been adopting double standards, by stalling power supply to the Telangana on one hand, and announcing that he was ready to give 300 MW of power to it, on the other.
The Congress senior leader said Telangana need no charity from the AP and demanded immediate supply of its share of power due to it as per the Reorganisation Act. He also questioned the Telangana TDP leaders, whether they had no responsibility in questioning their party leader despite Telangana reeling under power shortage. He criticised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for failing to get the due share of power supply to Telangana, as per the AP State Re-Organisation act. He also demanded the Telangana government to immediately convene an all party meeting and send a delegation to Delhi to brief the union government on the injustice being meted to the Telangana.
Reiterating that the Congress party would work for the people, he pointed out the dictatorial attitude of the TDP and TRS were responsible for the present power crisis in Telangana.
