Convene all-party meet on power crisis: TDP to KCR, Branding KCR as ‘420, a liar and cheater,’ Rao said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief won the election by exploiting people’s sentiments.
Hyderabad: A day after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said he would approach Supreme Court against the Andhra Pradesh government over the manner in which it was violating the AP State Reorganisation Act 2014 with regard to sharing of power, the Telangana Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Saturday challenged KCR to convene an all-party meeting so that the truth could come out.
Reacting to the comments made by KCR on AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, AP Minister for Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswar Rao, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and media advisor to the government P Prabhakar said KCR was misleading the people by making wrong statements to cover up his failures. At the party level, senior leader E Dayakar Rao and A Revanth Reddy alleged that the Telangana Chief Minister indulged in mudslinging against Chandrababu Naidu instead of solving the power crisis. The only way to dispel all the doubts raised by KCR was to convene an all-party meeting to find out if AP had violated any agreements and had cheated the people of Telangana. If it was proved, then all would fight against the neighbouring State, they said.
Stating that a TDP delegation would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Power Minister and seek their help to overcome energy crisis in Telangana on October 30 in New Delhi, the leaders demanded explanation from KCR on the government’s negligence in holding special Assembly session on agriculture crisis and also the delay in purchasing power from neighbouring states.

After coming to power, KCR chose the path to politicise every issue to cover up his failures in discharging his duties. Revanth Reddy said because of the vision of Chandrababu Naidu the neighbouring State purchased 900 MW of power at the rate of Rs 5.75 per unit while the Telangana government purchased power at Rs 8 per unit.
