Karthikeya was released last Friday on 24th. The movie got good response from the first day. The movie succeeded in gaining very good reviews from critics as well.

The film is still going on strong at box office and is now all set to become the biggest surprise hit of the year. Karthikeya had a marvelous first weekend at the box office and the collections are pretty strong even on the week days.

Karthikeya is being screened to packed houses in A centers. The flick surprisingly performing very well in B and C centers too. It has raked in approximately 2.35 crore at the Indian box office in the first weekend. The movie also got good opening in America and showed decent growth in the following days. In the first weekend, the film collected 75.64 lakhs [$123,512] at the USA box office, taking its three-day-global total to 3.10 crore nett.
Nikhil and Swathi scored another good hit with their 2nd outing. Director Chandoo Mondeti has impressed everyone with his work in Karthikeya. Even Nikhil is getting calls from big directors appreciating his work in the film.
