Crucial Water Board Meeting Today. All eyes are focused on the crucial Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) meeting to be held on Wednesday to resolve the ongoing dispute between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states regarding utilisation of water from Srisailam project.
Hyderabad: All eyes are focused on the crucial Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) meeting to be held on Wednesday to resolve the ongoing dispute between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states regarding utilisation of water from Srisailam project.
Advisor to the Telangana government on irrigation, R Vidyasagar, will depose before the Board chairman SKG Pandit and would impress upon the board about the rights the State government has over utilisation of water from Srisailam. He would argue that the Srisailam project was constructed primarily for the purpose of power generation.
Speaking to The Hans India, irrigation department sources said they would explain all technical issues and seek KRMB intervention in the matter. Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma held a meeting with irrigation department and briefed the officials on the stand they have to take at the meeting.
