Ileana has three other siblings - Farrah, Rhys and Eileen. Popular and fashionably forward as she is today, Ileana wasn't always prime property in Bollywood.A fresh-faced Ileana burst onto the modelling scene via ramp shows and several photo shoots, after reluctantly making a portfolio she wasn't too happy with.
That however, didn't matter and after a second portfolio and few more modelling gigs, the young beauty landed advertisements with brands such as Electrolux, Emami Talc and Fair and Lovely.
Ileana made her film debut with 'Devadasu' (2006), a Telugu language film, that went on to become the first major commercial success of that year. Despite being very nervous and pressured, Ileana's efforts earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debutant.
Her second Telugu film 'Pokiri' opposite Mahesh Babu turned out to be one of the biggest commercial successes of her Tollywood career so far. The film has been remade in Hindi as 'Wanted' and 'Pokkiri' in Tamil
Ileana's association with Tollywood would go on to be long and fruitful. Establishing herself in the industry meant that she was fortunate enough to be paired opposite leading men including Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, Ravi Teja, Pawan Kalyan and others.
Ileana has also appeared in Tamil language films including 'Nanban' and 'Kedi'.
Dreaming bigger and seemingly destined for greater cinema, Ileana soon ventured into the glamorous world of Bollywood.
She made her Bollywood debut with Anurag Basu's 'Barfi!' (2012). To say the film was critically and commercially acclaimed would be understating it. 'Barfi!' was screened at the Busan and Marrakech International Film Festivals, in addition to being chosen as India’s official entry to the 85th Academy Awards.
She was handed the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award, as well as a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her second Bollywood film 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero' (September, 2013) with Shahid Kapoor received mixed reviews but was eventually termed 'average'.
Even so, Ileana's two-film stint in B-town is by no means short-lived. Making very important new friends and adequate promotion has earned her more projects. She is currently filming 'Happy Ending' and 'Main Tera Hero' due to release in 2014.
Ileana's chiseled good looks and her 10/10 body has put her on the cover of many hi fashion magazine spreads.
Now that she has Bollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood under her spell, one has to wonder if Hollywood will come calling soon.
She would fit right in, wouldn't she?
