Hyderabad: The Common Admission Test 2014 (CAT) was held on November 16 and 22. For candidates who found any discrepancies in their given details can edit it from November 25 to 28. Discrepancies in date of birth and gender can be changed. No other fields can be edited as mentioned in point number 12 in the candidates' admit cards.

While the difficulty level of the CAT exam on November 16 was high, the exam on November 22 was a bit balanced. It was found by the test takers that the questions that appeared in the first session on the second day of the exam was quite different, despite being on similar lines as in earlier sessions. For example the quant section had no question on probability, permutation and combination. Verbal had no question on completion of paragraphs, vocabulary, and fill in the blanks while questions in Logical Reasoning (LR) appeared more of Data Interpretation (DI) type.

It was already clarified by CAT centre that CAT 2014 shall involve administering a different form of the test across each of the 4 different test sessions. It is important to note that, CAT 2014 had two sections of 50 questions each, for a total of 100 questions. The two sections are - Quantitative Ability (QA) and Data Interpretation (DI) as well as Verbal Ability (VA) and Logical Reasoning (LR). The examination was held smoothly without any major glitches or surprise elements being reported. Around 1.96 lakh candidates registered for CAT 2014. The results are expected to be announced in the third week of December.
