20,752 units of Ford EcoSport recalled
Ford India has announced a voluntary recall of 20,752 units of its sub-compact SUV, the EcoSport, to rectify an issue related to fuel and vapour line corrosion in the long-term. The company will recall all the EcoSport variants manufacture at the company\'s plant between January 2013 an September 2014.

The company also said that it will check the vehicles for repositioning wiring harness related to the correct deployment of side airbags. The company that also manufacturers EcoSport for global markets in India, will inspect around 40,000 units of the mini SUV manufactured during the same period. Just so you know, Ford exports the EcoSport to 37 countries.
This is the second recall for the company in last one month. In November 2014, Ford has recalled 3,072 unis of Fiesta diesel to correct the waterproof 'glow plug control module'. "Ford is writing to customers and asking them to contact their local Ford dealer so that the necessary rework can be carried out free of cost," the company said in a statement.
