Hyderabad reels under cold spell
Hyderabad recorded the season\'s lowest temperature at 9.2 degree Celsius on Thursday –two degrees below normal. The cold wave has severely affected those living on footpaths. Shops selling warm clothes like sweaters have been doing brisk business with people shopping to beat the cold with warm clothes.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad recorded the season's lowest temperature at 9.2 degree Celsius on Thursday –two degrees below normal. The cold wave has severely affected those living on footpaths. Shops selling warm clothes like sweaters have been doing brisk business with people shopping to beat the cold with warm clothes. Even the kiosks manned by Nepali who sell woolen clothes and sweaters are besieged by people from middle and lower classes.
The cold conditions are also driving tipplers to liquor shops which have been doing a roaring business for the past few days. The meteorologists attributed the cold spell to the dry northerly winds flowing into Telangana. The Met office forecast the cold conditions will prevail in Telangana for three more.
