Hyderabad: The tech-savvy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday launched a new initiative to be in touch with the people, particularly youngsters, by using Google Hangouts.

Google Hangouts is an instant messaging and video chat platform developed by Google. It replaces three messaging products thatGoogle had implemented concurrently within its services, includingGoogle Talk, Google+ Messenger, and Hangouts, a video chat system present within Google+.

Naidu not only answered questions posed by students in Andhra Pradesh, but also took some questions from a Telugu-speaking student in New York. During the live chat, Naidu revealed that the existing education system in the State is in for metamorphic change to meet the industry's requirements. He said that an exclusive university for the sake of developing skills among the students from professional colleges would also be set up.

The State government is planning to introduce a state-level accreditation system for the private and the government education institutes. Naidu further said that the State government was contemplating to allow foreign universities to set up their branches in the State so as to impart best education to the students across the State.
