A spine-chilling incident of an alleged psychopath slitting the throat of his wife, smeared blood on his body and performing macabre dance to the tune of devotional songs came to light on Sunday.

Nizamabad: A spine-chilling incident of an alleged psychopath slitting the throat of his wife, smeared blood on his body and performing macabre dance to the tune of devotional songs came to light on Sunday.
According to the police, Navin, a mobile phone mechanic, butchered his 20-year-old wife Sunita by slitting her throat after torturing her in his house at Yadagiribagh here on Saturday night. He played devotional songs on computer so loudly to ensure that neighbours did not hear his wife’s screams.
The neighbours had in fact knocked on the doors to urge Navin to cut down the volume, but he did not respond. Loud music continued throughout the night.
The police reached the house on Sunday morning on being alerted by the neighbours. They broke open the doors and were shocked to see Navin sitting beside Sunita’s body with blood smeared all over his body.
Sunita’s parents alleged that Navin had been harassing his wife since their marriage two years back.
