As part of their nationwide agitation against the visit of US president Barack Obama to India, the Left parties in the State held protests in front of US Consulate on Saturday. The protests were led by CPI national executive member K Narayana, Former MP Aziz Pasha along with CPI (M) Telangana secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram and other leaders.

Party workers and leaders took out a rally from Basheerbagh crossroads to Nizam College and burnt the effigy of Obama. Speaking to media persons, Veerabhadram alleged that it was Barack Obama who has been terrorising the world with US-style war tactics on various countries. He alleged that the war on terror being put forward by the US was dubious and other countries must not fall in its trap.
