Khammam: In an indirect attack on TRS government, the YSRCP Telangana president and Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy criticised the ruling party for encouraging defections.

Speaking at a party meeting on Wednesday, Srinivasa Reddy gave vent to his ire over the ruling party for creating rumours that YSRCP Pinapaka MLA Payam Venkateswarlu was about to leave the party. “Their mission to attract the legislators of other parties is totally unethical,” the MP said. He clarified that Venkateswarlu will be with the party.
Difference of opinion is common in any party, he said, pointing to some problems among the leaders in Pinapaka Assembly constituency. It doesn’t mean that leaders are leaving the party, he added. Payam Venkateswarlu said that he was not interested in joining any other party.
“The YSRCP made me legislator and gave me an opportunity to serve the people. I am always indebted to the party and Srinivasa Reddy,” Venkateswarlu said. He refuted the rumours that he was ready to leave the party.
