New Delhi: The Election Commission ( EC) has issued a show cause notice to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for violating the Model Code of Conduct.

The notice was reportedly issued on Saturday after Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay complained about the AAP's posters depicting his party's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi without her permission.
The AAP has been asked to submit its reply by Monday, failing which the poll panel would take action against it.
Kiran Bedi had earlier sent a legal notice to her rival Kejriwal for using her images in AAP's posters without her permission.
Adding to the party's woes, a police complaint had also been filed against AAP leader Kumar Vishwas on Saturday for allegedly making sexist comments against Bedi at a recent rally held in the national capital.
Elections in Delhi are scheduled to take place on February 7, with the counting of the votes to take place on February 10.
