Tanuku: The two-day deeksha of YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy ended on Sunday with massive crowds thronging the deeksha venue at Tanuku in West Godavari. While addressing the gathering, Jagan launched a broadside on Andhra Pradesh Chief Miniser N Chandrababu Naidu for backtracking on his election promises. He accused Naidu of betraying promises made to farmers and DWCRA women.

The people came from the rural interiors of twin Godavari districts to express their anger at the non-waiver of crop and DWCRA loans.

Addressing a large number of people, the YSRCP chief asked if their loans were waived, the gathering at the venue were on their toes and replied in a deafening 'NO'. Then he asked the crowd whether the gold they had pledged in the banks come back to them . The reply was again a deafening NO.

His next question was - Did you get new loans this time? NO again.

Can Chandrababu Naidu ever speak truth? In answer, the people roared again saying NO.

He concluded the speech by saying YSRCP would continue to wage a relentless battle to make the government see reason. He said the party will bring the state to a halt if the government does not pay heed.

Jagan said Naidu was not admitting that there were farmers’ suicides in the State. He was afraid to admit that several farmers had committed suicide because the government was forced to give ex gratia to the members of the bereaved families.
