Minister for Endowments Pydikondala Manikyala Rao expressed confidence that India would develop on par with major powers like the USA and China under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Addressing the BJP workers at Pentapadu mandal in the district on Wednesday, he said the country was being treated with respect and awe after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister.

The Minister said that the TDP and BJP workers should cooperate with each other in developing the West Godavari district as they were both allies at the central and state levels. He said that the BJP would always remain grateful to the people for entrusting it with power after throwing out the corrupt UPA government. The NDA Government would implement several social welfare programmes for the poor and the downtrodden, he said.
Seven gram sarpanches belonging to the YSR Congress Party joined the BJP on the occasion. Narsapur MP Gokaraju Rangaraju, BJP Mahila Morcha State president S Malathi Rani, district BJP president Bhoopathiraju, BJP Pentapadu mandal president Veerla Govind, party leader Soma Veera Raju and others were present.
