Hyderabad: Leaders of the ten left parties of Telangana came on to a common platform on Sunday at the CPM first state conference here. CPM national secretary Prakash Karat, CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy and other leaders expressed happiness over this development.

Speaking on the occasion, Karat said the three Ordinances brought by the Centre were aimed at benefiting the big investors. He fumed at the Central government headed by Narendra Modi saying that the latter had given full freedom to the corporate forces to fleece the poorer sections of society. He said the NDA government was making ineffective the laws in favour of the working class in the country.

Karat said the second ordinance brought out by the Centre would help in inviting private individuals in coal mining. The farmers, poorer sections, youth, women and students should be prepared for struggles against the government’s pro-rich policies. Telangana Armed struggle leader Mallu Swarajyam hoisted the party’s flag marking the inauguration of the conference.The conference will continue till March 4, culminating in a public meeting.

Chada Venkat Reddy said that unless all the Left parties came together ignoring their internal differences, they would not have any future. Venkat Reddy said it was shameful that suicide of farmers continuing even after Telangana State was formed. He warned the TRS government that they would not keep quiet if the Chief Minister wastes public money in the name of ‘Vaastu’ and shift the Secretariat. He flayed KCR for not giving appointment to the Opposition leaders.
