The grand finale of Miss and Mrs Hyderabad – Chak De Gujarati & Rajasthani, was held at Classic Gardens, Balamrai on Sunday. The event was organised on a grand scale but unfortunately the show didn’t start on the right note. Initially rain played spoilsport and as a result the show had to be halted a couple of times. If that wasn’t enough, a fire broke out from generators raising an alarm among the attendees.
However everything was brought under control within minutes. After the entire ruckus, the event kick-started with ramp walk of the 42 finalists. There were three rounds where the participants dressed up in ethnic clothes in the first, gowns in the second and the last was the Q & A round.
The panel of judges included actress Suhani, fashion designer Sahil Gulati, designer Neelam Ashley, choreographer Imran Khan, designer Zubin Vakil and Nisha who quizzed the contestants. Speaking on the occasion Minal Vakharia and Rajesh Shah, the chief organisers of Chak De-Gujarati & Rajasthani said, “Chak De-Gujarati & Rajasthani has been a great initiative which brought many citizens of the community together in order to promote fashion, arts, sports, music, design and skills thus promoting unity. Developing confidence plays a major role in the lives of women and this beauty pageant has achieved it.”
