Huge cache of explosives seized

A huge cache of explosives, including 5,000 electric detonators, were seized and three persons were arrested from Kurnool district, police said on Tuesday. The police seized 1,249 gelatin sticks, 500 kg ammonium nitrate and 370-metre fuse wire besides 5,000 detonators from Bethamcherla and Kurnool town, they said.
Kurnool: A huge cache of explosives, including 5,000 electric detonators, were seized and three persons were arrested from Kurnool district, police said on Tuesday. The police seized 1,249 gelatin sticks, 500 kg ammonium nitrate and 370-metre fuse wire besides 5,000 detonators from Bethamcherla and Kurnool town, they said. "Based on a tip-off, police intercepted a four-wheeler on Monday night and found some explosives being illegally transported by three persons, identified as S Reddy, Lingaiah and Srinivasulu," a police official said.
