Man sends abusive mails to estranged wife, arrested
The Cyber Crime sleuths on Wednesday arrested a software engineer for allegedly harassing his estranged wife and her father through emails containing abusive content. Sunkari Praveen Kumar, 47, a resident of Vinay Nagar Colony in Saidabad, was arrested by the team for sending abusive mails to his estranged wife living in USA
Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime sleuths on Wednesday arrested a software engineer for allegedly harassing his estranged wife and her father through emails containing abusive content. Sunkari Praveen Kumar, 47, a resident of Vinay Nagar Colony in Saidabad, was arrested by the team for sending abusive mails to his estranged wife living in USA and to her father in India in a conspiracy to assassinate his wife’s character, according to police.
“Praveen had a rift in his family life which resulted in his separation from his wife and two daughters. Snubbed by the fact that he has to pay for the maintenance, he decided to take revenge on her. As a result, he selected an internet café in Santosh Nagar and started sending abusive and threatening mails to his wife, her father, relatives and her friends, thereby causing mental agony to her,” DCP(DD) Ravi Varma said.
