The victim committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan yesterday, Sonepat's Senior Superintendent of Police, B Satheesh Balan said.

She was allegedly raped on February 16 in Gohana town, the SSP said.
The accused in the case was arrested earlier and was now in judicial custody, he said.
