Hisar: A local court on Thursday awarded life imprisonment to a student for murdering a girl in the campus of an university here in 2012. Additional District and Sessions Judge Basrudin sentenced Pradeep Nain, an engineering student of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) here, to life imprisonment for murdering Geetika Mehta, also a student of GJUST on November 26, 2012 in the campus. Besides the life imprisonment, the accused was ordered to pay a fine of Rs one lakh.
