Mancherial (Adilabad): Activists of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) staged a dharna in front of the tahsildar office here on Friday seeking SC classification.
Speaking on the occasion, MRPS leader K Sarath demanded that the State government should introduce the SC categorisation bill in the Assembly.
Sarath alleged that the Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States have deceived Dalits. He slammed TRS and TDP governments for keeping silent on SC classification after coming to power with the votes of Dalits.
He asked the State governments to respond to the issue and introduce SC classification bill in their respective Assemblies. He said that the MRPS would intensify protests if SC categorisation bill is not tabled.
